57′ Semi-Trad Narrow Boat ‘Pootle’ £58,000 SALE AGREED

Originally commissioned by Sabre Narrowboats Ltd in June 2004, ‘Pootle’ (previously known as ‘Northern Lights’), has been in the same ownership since January 2008 when she was purchased from the first owner. A semi-traditional narrowboat with a conventional layout, she is nicely fitted, well equipped and well maintained. Currently in use as a residential vessel, she has cruised many parts of the inland waterway system and would be equally at home cruising or permanently moored. She may be able to remain on her current mooring following a change of ownership, subject to approval by the mooring operator.  Note: This vessel is not moored with us, so please contact us to arrange a viewing before travelling.

Constructed of mild steel plate by Reeves Boatbuilders, 10mm bottom plate, 6mm hull sides and 4mm cabin sides and roof, and fitted out by Sabre Narrowboats Ltd.
Hull originally painted with two-pack epoxy bitumen and last painted in July 2016 with bitumen.
The exterior is painted in dark blue with a cream panel line, cream non-slip roof and dark blue, non-slip decks and gunwales.
The interior is lined in oak faced ply with solid oak doors and trim, complimented by blue soft furnishings, and a mix of blue and cream flooring. LED up and down lighting completes the finish.

The forepeak area is protected with a cratch cover and glazed timber frame and has side lockers with seating, a pedestal mounted table, integral water tank in the bow and double, part-glazed timber doors with internal step/storage box to the interior with a maximum headroom of approximately 6’4″.
A large, open plan saloon comprises a large storage space under the foredeck accessed from in front of the saloon step, built in corner cupboards (starboard side), multifuel stove on a black tiled plinth with black tiled surround, radiator with a decorative panel, large sofa bed (available if required), further storage accessed from the corner of galley base unit, blue carpet tiles, stereo speakers, LED down and up lighting, a pair of hopper style, anodised aluminium glazed widows with blue patterned curtains.
The galley lies adjacent to the saloon and is in a U shape on the port side with built in base units and matching wall units, all fitted with hardwood doors with walnut veneer detailing, dark granite worktop and upstand, large Butler style sink, mixer tap (water filter fitted), oven, grill and hob with stainless steel splash back, fridge, a pair of hopper style windows, curtains and cream patterned vinyl flooring.
Additional, shallow storage units in the same style are mounted opposite on the starboard side.
A raised dinette that easily converts into a double berth is equipped with a twin pedestal table, blue upholstered seating with storage underneath, two radiators, large half doors and hatch with steps, window, curtains and carpet tiles.
A walk through bathroom comprises a tiled quadrant shower cubicle with thermostatic mixer tap and stylish, colour changing light, wash basin mounted on a fitted base unit with tiled splash back and a large mirror above, a wall mounted cupboard, electric WC, a pair of port hole windows, storage cupboards behind the shower, a chrome towel radiator, cream patterned vinyl flooring. Bi-fold doors lead to-:
A master cabin with a transverse, fold-away double bed, built in overhead lockers (arched over a port hole window) and bedside cupboards, a second port hole window, full height wardrobe, two full height dressing mirrors (one mounted on inside of rear door), full height shelving unit, a pair of stereo speakers, radiator, curtins and carpet tiles.
A boatman’s cabin contains space for a washing machine (Candy washing machine available), storage shelving and lockers, lockers containing electrical systems and calorifier, engine control panel, vinyl flooring, steps leading to double steel doors with a sliding hatch giving access to-:
An aft deck with gas locker, engine console, deck hatches to engine bay and bilge, shore power connection point, a second set of steel doors, stern area with tiller, helmsman’s positions, hatch to access weed hatch, mooring bollards and diesel filler. 

Beta Marine B43 4 cylinder raw water cooled diesel engine coupled to a shaft drive via a Newage PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox with a Vetus single lever engine control. 45 gallon integral fuel tank. 2140 engine hours. Last full service in August 2016, fuel filters also replaced recently.
